Drone usage

To keep people, property and the environment around you safe, it's essential you know the rules that apply to you.

Whether you are flying commercially or for fun, drones are not allowed within 3nm (5.5kms) of an airport, or above 400ft elsewhere. The Civil Aviation Safety Autority (CASA) mandates the use of UAV/RPA’s and model aircraft in regard to the proximity of aerodromes. You must not fly your drone in a way that creates a hazard to another aircraft, person or property. Watch and read these resources below to learn the drones rules in Australia.
